Our topic on this episode of the Early Accountability Podcast is how to know when it is time to add a new goal or adjust your existing goals. When you feel yourself coasting along and struggling to stay engaged, this episode is for you. Here are a few ways to know if you might be ready to add a new goal to the mix: 1. If things feel mundane – A new goal can help you get motivated and push you in the right direction if you currently feel like you’re just going through the motions. 2. If you don’t have focus – Perhaps you have a big long-term goal on the horizon, but you are having trouble getting there or seeing it as attainable. Setting up milestones or smaller goals along the way can be a big help. 3. If you are not seeing your desired results – It could be that you have a good goal, but you just need to try a different approach to get there. 4. If you are backsliding – You achieved your big long-term goal, but now you are struggling to sustain those results. A new class, group, accountability structure, or app could be what you need. 5. If you feel like you don’t want the next level – A great example of this is working at a dead-end job with no growth opportunities. Eventually, you are going to feel stagnant or frustrated by being stuck in that rut and a new goal or opportunity will open up the way.
